Visit of the Director of the Tashkent Scientific Research Institute for Vaccines and Serums to the Pasteur Institute of Iran
On May 12, 2025, Dr. Abdurakhman Ashurov and Dr. Farkhodjon Tukhtaev, Director and Deputy Director of the Tashkent Scientific Research Institute for Vaccines and Serums in Uzbekistan, accompanied by a delegation from the Iranian Presidential Office for Transformation and Progress Cooperation, visited the Research & Production Complex of the Pasteur Institute of Iran in Karaj. During the visit, the delegation toured the production facilities while experts showcased the complex's activities and products. Dr. Tukhtaev presented the history, current projects, and future plans of his respective institute, while Dr. Ashurov emphasized his institution's training needs and expressed optimism for future educational, production, and research collaborations with the Pasteur Institute of Iran.
Later, following visits to the National COVID-19 Reference Laboratory, the Malaria and Vectors Research Department, and the Medical Biotechnology Department at the Pasteur Institute of Iran's Tehran campus, the delegation met with Dr. Ehsan Mostafavi, Director-General of the institute. During this meeting, both directors highlighted their institutions' scientific achievements and emphasized the importance of future cooperation. The visit concluded with the signing of a five-year Memorandum of Cooperation, establishing a framework for upcoming educational, production, and research collaborations between the two institutes.
