Guillermo Puente Ordorica, Ambassador of Mexico to the Islamic Republic of Iran, and Lorena Rivera León, the head of the Iran-Mexico Friendship Parliamentary Committee and several other Mexican representatives visited Pasteur Institute of Iran. The Ambassador of Mexico to the Islamic Republic of Iran also held talks with the Director of the Pasteur Institute of Iran, Dr Rahim Sorouri during the visit on April 30, 2023. 

The Director of the Pasteur Institute of Iran, Dr Rahim Sorouri gave explanations about the past and present activities of the Pasteur Institute of Iran and emphasized the determination of this institution in the development of international relations. 

The Mexican ambassador to Iran emphasized his country's willingness to cooperate with the Pasteur Institute of Iran as a leading institution in the Middle East.

Dr Lorena Rivera León, the head of the Iran-Mexico Friendship Parliamentary Delegation, while praising the measures taken by the Pasteur Institute of Iran in controlling infectious diseases, especially during the Covid-19 pandemic, emphasized gaining experience from the Pasteur Institute of Iran for an appropriate response to future epidemics.
