Four Pasteur Institute Scientists Among the World’s Most Influential
According to the Research Division of the Pasteur Institute of Iran, four of the institute’s researchers—Azam Bolhassani, Mehdi Farokhi, Mohammad Ali Shokrgozar, and Mojgan Sheikhpour—are included in the single-year citation impact list in the 2026 update of the database commonly known as the “World’s Top 2% Scientists” list. Developed by John P. A. Ioannidis and colleagues using Scopus data, the database assesses researchers’ citation impact through standardized bibliometric indicators. These include citation counts, the h-index, the co-authorship-adjusted hm-index, and a composite citation score that incorporates authorship positions. The approach emphasizes citation impact rather than publication counts alone. The 2026 update was released in October 2026. Its single-year list evaluates citations received during 2025. The four researchers’ rankings are presented below.
